![]() All in all it was a very cool experience. My mother-in-law had been talking about wanting to go on Safari, but wasn't sure she'd really like the experience and since we live so close to Santa Rosa, we decided to try that first. We just got home from a family reunion held at Safari West. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit.… I expected much less and was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage and pancakes. The dinner was nothing to rave about but it was convenient and fun. With no tv or radio, we enjoyed playing games and just simply enjoying time with the family. If you need quality family time, you'll find it here. We had a king sized bed, futons for the children and a deck to sit and watch the sunrise from. ![]() Our tent camp was very comfortable and totaly not what you'd expect a tent to be. After the tour, we went on the walking tour and the best part was feeing the giraffe's. I thought it was wonderful to be able to see them in the wild (so to speak). There weren't as many animals as I had expected but then again I've only seen them in the zoo all cramed together. Their service is wonderful! The best part of the Safari is sitting on top because the view is much better from the top. They criticized the system of veterinary care and questioned the safety of the tour vehicles, an issue that was not raised in the accreditation report.
